OLSC EDMONTON
ABOUT US
Our Official Liverpool Supporters Club as it is today started to take formation over 15 years ago. A small number of Reds used to gather at various pubs around the city to watch weekend & midweek games as well as cup finals. Slowly over time our numbers grew & grew which eventually led to talk of creating an official supporters club. A committee/board being formed in May 2018, paperwork & information was then requested from Liverpool FC so we could apply for an Official Liverpool Supporters Club here in Edmonton.
Our Official status was granted quickly from LFC in August 2018, they look at proximity of any other Official Supporters Clubs around us & we qualified as the only other OLSC in Alberta was in Calgary. A home pub was then established in The Urban Tavern (now renamed The Cabin) so all of us Reds could watch games together at the same location every week.
Once our Official status was granted the board started working on a setting up a membership program & a charity directive on how we could support & help our community here in Edmonton & shortly thereafter overseas with the community of Liverpool. A friend in Liverpool put us in touch with Jamie Carragher’s 23 Foundation & they graciously sent us a huge box of signed merchandise in order for us to start off our now famous charity raffles, we can share with you that our raffle prizes are envied by many other OLSC’s & their members all around the world judging by some of the messages we have received. We thank the 23 Foundation, The Cabin, The Anfield Shop (sadly no longer in business) & lots of our members for prize donations over the years & the biggest thanks to all our kind hearted Edmonton Reds for the overwhelming generosity & the desire to give back to the communities.

REDS
Since 2018 we can confirm that our supporter’s group has raised over $64,000 for charity, donated coats, gloves, toques & boxes & boxes of food to the food bank, a truly amazing accomplishment, we cannot thank you enough.
Here are the deserving charities/organizations we have helped both here & overseas over the years.
Boyle Street Communities Edmonton (helping unhoused individuals in our city with clothes & toiletries & funds for mental wellness programs, a meal of Scouse (Liverpool meat stew) for over 200 folks cooked & served by OLSC Edmonton members. Boyle Street put our donated funds towards areas they are developing to help find housing & any support that may be required.
The Edmonton Food Bank – donating funds, food & also OLSC Edmonton members volunteering their time at the Food Bank to sort through & pack up food so it is ready to be given to those who need a helping hand.
23 Foundation Liverpool (helping underprivileged kids in Liverpool & in conjunction with the 23 Foundation our funds have also helped The Liverpool Food Bank & Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Liverpool)
Through our association with the 23 Foundation we also helped a great small charity in Liverpool called Aid to All who two of our members in Liverpool volunteer their time & resources to. The 23 Foundation learned of the association of Aid To All with our Edmonton Reds volunteers & on the spot pledged to give them 500 Pounds a month for 6 months …. that was nearly 3 years ago & the monthly donation has never stopped, big thanks to the 23 Foundation for their generosity.
HSA Liverpool – Hillsborough Survivors Support Alliance, run by Hillsborough Survivors our funds help Survivor support group meetings, support programmes providing literature & educational tools on mental health & wellness support to schools, colleges & Universities in Liverpool.
We are so proud that are charity efforts have been recognized on both sides of the pond with radio & tv coverage, we truly have a very special group of reds with massive hearts.
